North Bank came up with the top two catches and the biggest fish in Bathampton AA's 24-hour Carp Match fished on Hunstrete Lake.

The top man and the captor of the biggest fish was Lee Griffin, who include two 30 pounders in his 96-1-0 winning haul.

The Bristol-based carper fished CSI boilies at peg four to tempt four carp weighing 15-15-0; 17-8-0, 30-2-0 and 32-8-0. The match raised £100 for CLIC Sargent.

A 6mm banded pellet poled tight to the island at 16 metres off Match 20 came up with a 96-5-0 victory for Martin Pettifer in the Ridgeway & District AC match fished at Landsend Fisheries, Wedmore.

Second place went to the consistent Phil Terry, who fished the same size bait into the lakeside margins of peg 13 and weighed-in a similar 69-3-0 of carp to 6lb.

Bristol PSV rod Alan Healey set a new club match-weight record and clocked up the heaviest weight to come from Staunton Court so far this year.

He poled an 8mm pellet shallow at 14 metres off peg two and almost doubled the weight of his nearest challenger with a massive 223-14-0 haul of carp.

A consistent set of results gave match organiser Martin Rayet and his partner Pete Humphris victory by a clear 3.5 points in the Queens Head Pairs Series fished at Boyd Valley Lake, Bitton.

The final individual victory went to Shaun Townsend, who poled paste into the lakeside margins of peg one to tempt 54-14-0 of silvers and carp.

The Bathampton AA angling coach fished worm, caster and red maggot over groundbait at peg 30 and weighed-in an 18-0-0 mix consisting bream, skimmers. roach and eels.
