Three adults and child escape Bedminster flat fire
Three adults and a child escaped from a fire in a Bedminster flat.
One of the adults smelt smoke at about midnight last night and found that it was coming from a tumble drier in the utility room.
They tried to use a hand extinguisher to put out the fire but decided to call the fire service.
Two crews from Bedminster attended and used breathing gear and a high pressure jet to put out the fire which was contained in the utility room.

The four people escaped unhurt.
A fire spokesman said they were lucky that one of the adults smelt smoke - there were no smoke detectors in the property in Westbourne Grove.
He said all homes should have a smoke detector on each floor to prevent a possible tragedy.
