You get abuse if you talk to them
Re: Martyn Hancock who says talk to young people cycling on pavements. I've tried that and always get abuse and it's not always young people.
I witnessed an incident with a police constable and a cyclist this week on Staple Hill.
A cyclist was stopped by for cycling on the pavement and told about fines (signs everywhere) and after arguing he cycled off.
This is happening every day and I myself have been hit from behind and once whilst pushing my wife in her wheelchair and a dog on leash the cyclist passed in between myself and dog over the lead.

“Personally I find dogs on leads on pavements more of a nuisance than cyclists (who I also find annoying). The number of time a dog owner has expected me to make way for their mutt is beyond count, often leaving me no choice but to step into the road to get around them.”
