ZUMBA enthusiasts danced until they dropped at Winterbourne International Academy to raise money for Save the Children.

It was the first "Zumbathon" to be held at the academy's sports village and was led by Georgina Hooper, who regularly delivers Zumba evening classes at the academy. Participants joined the fitness class which incorporates Latin-based dance moves.

Katie Hosegood, federation commercial coordinator, organised the event, which was held yesterday morning.

"The Zumbathon at Winterbourne International Academy was an opportunity for us to invite the local and wider community into its facilities," she said.

"This was a great opportunity for all visitors to have fun while supporting a splendid cause."

Participants paid £4 per person to charity to take part.
