Young patients get a glimpse of Sleeping Beauty
YOUNG dancers exchanged the theatre for a hospital to give patients a glimpse of their latest show.
English Youth Ballet gave patients at Bristol Children's Hospital a taste of their latest production Sleeping Beauty along with a special workshop. Bucket collections and programme sales at the performances at Weston Playhouse Theatre next month will raise funds for Wallace and Gromit's Grand Appeal, which is raising money for the cancer ward at the city centre hospital.
The ballet, on March 8 and 9 features seven international principal artists and more than 80 talented young dancers from the South West.
Amy Ryder, fundraiser at The Grand Appeal, said the visit from the dancers was a "special treat" for the young patients.

"The Grand Appeal is delighted to be a beneficiary and all money raised at the Playhouse Theatre performances will go a long way in helping children with cancer, being treated at the hospital," she said.
