Young carers project draws to a close
AN organisation which holds fun days for children who look after their parents has celebrated its recent history as funding dries up.
The Young Carers Nature Challenge Project, which has worked with 450 young carers in Avon, Somerset and Wiltshire in the past two years, comes to an end at on March 31.
Young people and organisers at the project held a final barbecue at Golden Hill Community Allotments last week to look back at the last two years.
The project was previously funded through the Big Lottery Fund and Natural England. Organisers are hopeful they can secure more funding to keep the project going in the future.
