The points were shared as Rockleaze Rangers and Broadwalk A fought out a 1-1 draw in a well-contested Under-15 Division III encounter.

Rockleaze took the lead after the break when Harry O'Conor's volley gollowing a George Harris corner was only partially blocked by visiting keeper Sam Toomer and Jonny Bradbeer was on hand to stab it over the line.

The home side found it difficult to play their normal passing game and Broadwalk exerted increasing pressure as the second half wore on.

Having already forced one excellent save from Rangers' man-of-the-match Nick Adams, Broadwalk's patience was rewarded with a deserved equaliser in the dying minutes when Yomi Opokoti met a well-delivered corner with a powerful header.

For Rockleaze, substitute Joad Shaban battled well in defence, while midfield dynamo Tom Ashford worked tirelessly.

Ryan Connolly terrorised the Yate Rangers defence as Southmead Community Sport swept to a 6-0 Under-13 Division V victory.

Connolly fired four goals including a first-half hat-trick to put Southmead out of sight. The pick of his goals was the first – a great strike into the top corner of the net after he had beaten three players.

Southmead, who led 3-0 at half-time, also benefited from good displays by defender Ben Pocock, central midfieldres James Batt and Josh Palmer, and wide players Lee Burton and Lewis Rogers.

Further goals followed in the second half from Batt, Reuben Martineau-Brown and the prolific Connolly.
