Hungry Yeovil Town captain Terrell Forbes jokes that the Glovers' revival is down to some free pasta.

But really he accepts that the arrival of some talented loan players helped Terry Skiverton's side draw with MK Dons and beat Swindon.

Tonight they can pull out of the League One relegation zone with a win over Northampton at Huish Park.

"The gaffer took us out on the Friday before the MK Dons game and we had some free pasta, so I think that helped as well because we have had two clean sheets since then," said the defender.

"The midfield is looking strong too and we just need a few more goals.

"It was hard for the gaffer because he had been working hard for the boys, so it is good to get his first win (against Swindon).

"We are all hungry. We are out there to do well and get a result."

Forbes began his career alongside the likes of Frank Lampard and Joe Cole at West Ham.

He knows a good young player when he sees one and he reckons Yeovil have two in Spurs loanees Jon Obika, a striker, and left-winger Andros Townsend.

"The two youngsters are full of energy," he said. "Andros is a good player. He is direct and Jon is still growing.

I called him Sir Les when he first walked in because he is like Les Ferdinand.

"They have got a long way to go but they are on the right track.

"They are looking hungry. They both had good debuts and they can go a long way. Hopefully we can keep them until the end of the season."

Bristol City midfielder David Noble also earned praise for his debut in the 1-0 win over Swindon.

"David has helped us with his experience of playing in the Championship and it has given everyone a lift," he said.

"We have been training well and we didn't get a day off last week – we were in all week – and it has paid off."

Yeovil will keep a close eye on a striker who was almost one of their own tonight.

Northampton's Adebayo Akinfenwa trained with Yeovil last season but chose to join Millwall instead of the Glovers.

"He was meant to sign for Yeovil and he is a good mate of mine and it is going to be hard," said Forbes.

"Once he had the ball and I couldn't see it. He is so broad I was trying to look for the ball under his legs and I still couldn't see it.

"It is hard because he has good pace, he is good in the air and he has got good movement, but I am hungry and I am ready for it."

Forbes has been partnered by utility player Lee Peltier in central defence of late.

"He could play anywhere," insisted the former QPR man. "Russell Slade said before he left that he could do that – right-back, central midfield, right wing. He is a monster. We can play man for man and that's good."

The last time the Glovers met the Cobblers, Yeovil lost 3-0 and Forbes was sent off.

"It would be good to get some revenge," he said. "I think we will get out of trouble. The mood around the club is good – we will be fine."
