Yeovil Town 1 Brighton 1

By Chris Spittles at Huish Park

Yeovil Town hit back from a goal down to claim a point against Brighton - but would have expected more after the visitors were reduced to 10 men.

Former Bristol City winger Joe Anyinsah saw red on the hour for his second bookable offence after committing two fouls on Nathan Jones.

But it was the Seagulls who went ahead despite their numerical disadvantage, with Nicky Forster netting from the penalty spot on 76 minutes after Andre McCollin pushed Adam Virgo.

However Albion were only ahead for five minutes as the outstanding Darren Way levelled for the Glovers, firing in a low shot from 25 yards.

Yeovil then pushed forward in search of a winner but Brighton soaked up the pressure to hold on for a draw.

The Glovers had earlier created the better chances in a goalless first half, with Andy Welsh, Paul Warne and Danny Schofield all threatening the Brighton goal.

But referee Paul Taylor took centre stage in the second period, handing out five yellow cards in addition to the two that resulted in Anyinsah's dismissal.
