Chris Weale has had many great moments in front of the Yeovil Town home terrace at Huish Park, but perhaps none more so than the one that came at about 9.40pm on Tuesday.

With his team trailing Hereford United 2-1 in Coca-Cola League One, the goalkeeper – who is on loan to his hometown club from Bristol City – gambled on getting forward for an injury-time corner and ended up scoring the equaliser with a powerful header.

Brought in to tighten things up at the back for Yeovil, player-boss Terry Skiverton clearly did not expect his on-loan keeper to chip in at the other end.

But Weale's mere presence has revitalised Yeovil as they bid to avoid relegation – and that is why his name should be at the very top of Skiverton's list of permanent transfer targets for this summer.
