Yeovil Town ace Schofield tips new boss for success
Yeovil Town midfielder Danny Schofield is backing Terry Skiverton to make a success of the Huish Park hot seat.
As a veteran of more than 300 first-team appearances over a ten-year career, Schofield has seen his share of managerial changes.

The former Huddersfield man, like the rest of the squad, was sorry to see Russell Slade and Steve Thompson go. But he is keen to play a big part in a new era in south Somerset, starting with today's home game with Oldham Athletic.
Schofield sat on the bench at Bristol Rovers on Tuesday alongside the injured Skiverton and fellow substitute Nathan Jones. Now the duo are manager and assistant boss.
"It is a time for us all to pull together," said Schofield. "These are exciting times. It is a good appointment by the board.
"They are young, vibrant, energetic lads who know the club inside out so we are going to get our heads down and work hard and pull together."
Schofield hails the four-game winning run that brought the curtain down on Slade's tenure as a 'great achievement'.
"He has brought in the majority of the players and we have done well in the last few games to win four games on the bounce is a great achievement in this league," said the Yorkshireman.
"Now the new gaffers have got to build on it. We have been playing well and we need to work hard in training and take the new gaffer's ideas on board straight away and put them into practice on the pitch.
"We have been really solid which is a big basis for any team in any professional league.
"We won three games 1-0 on the trot and we conceded one at Peterborough but still won 3-1.
"Hopefully the three we conceded at Bristol was just a blip – we just need to keep working."
Schofield came on as a late substitute at the Memorial Stadium with Yeovil 2-0 down.
He had missed the Peterborough win through suspension and caretaker boss Thompson understandably made few changes for the trip to Bristol.
"I was disappointed to miss out the Peterborough game," Schofield said. "Apparently the lads did brilliant and I didn't expect to start the Rovers game but I came on for half an hour.
"I will keep working hard and hopefully get back in the team as soon as possible."
Yeovil will be looking to complete a double over Oldham having defeated them at Boundary Park in November with one of their best results of the season.
"We beat them there 2-0 but it is always tough playing against Oldham," said Schofield. "I've played against them lots of times in my career but I think the lads are confident they can get three points."
In contrast to Yeovil, Oldham's preparation has been much more tranquil.
Manager John Sheridan yesterday swooped to sign Chelsea winger Fabios Ferreira on a month's loan following a short trial.
The Portuguese 19-year-old will go straight into the squad for today's game.
Veteran goalkeeper Mark Crossley misses out with a long-term back problem so either Jan Budtz or Greg Fleming will be between the posts.
On-loan Hull City striker Dean Windass – a man assured of a good reception following his play-off final winner against Bristol City in May – took up the gloves when Fleming was sent off in a recent game against Leicester.
Faced by the considerable figure that is the veteran frontman, striker Matty Fryatt drove a penalty wide of goal, adding further to Windass folklore.
The 39-year-old is expected to partner Lee Hughes in attack this afternoon.
