Gloucestershire County Youth League: Yate Town fought back strongly from a 1-0 half-time deficit to beat local rivals Winterbourne United 3-1 to move into second place in the table.

Town's forwards have been scoring freely in recent league and cup matches but it was Winterbourne, who have languished near the foot of the table, who missed numerous chances in the first half before taking the lead through Tristan Day.

Winterbourne went agonisingly close to extending their advantage early into the second half when they hit the crossbar but Yate came storming back to score three times in the last 20 minutes to take the points.

Two goals by Kieran Frost gave undefeated Wotton Rovers a 2-1 victory over Shirehampton, who had taken the lead with an own goal. The victory hoisted Rovers into fourth place.

Leaders Gala Wilton, who have been the surprise package so far this season, went down 1-0 to another unbeaten outfit, Forest Green Rovers.
