Yate Town 3, Newport County 3: Stoppage time equaliser denies Yate a famous win
A Tony James equaliser in the fourth minute of stoppage time denied Yate Town one of the biggest results in their history against Newport County this afternoon.
Yate, bottom of Division One South & West in the Evo-Stik Southern League, were 3-1 up against the Blue Square Bet Premier leaders with ten minutes to go of today's FA Cup fourth qualifying round tie at Lodge Road.
But Aaron O'Connor halved the deficit with seven minutes to go, before James dealt a heartbreaking late blow just seconds before the final whistle was blown.
It means Yate must now go to Newport County for a replay on Tuesday night (7.45pm).

It was the visitors who struck first after just seven minutes when Jefferson Louis put them 1-0 up, and it stayed that way until early in the second half.
Tom Knighton started Yate's fightback with an equaliser in the 50th minute, and Mitchell Page fired them ahead three minutes later.
Then, with 20 minutes to go, Matt Groves made it 3-1 and a huge FA Cup shock was on the cards.
But O'Connor and James had other ideas, giving Newport the second chance they so nearly didn't get.
