CLEVEDON singer George Shelley has made it through to the next round of the ITV1 talent show X Factor.

George and fellow members of boy band Union J earned enough votes from the public to pass through the fifth round of the contest last night. Kye Sones was eliminated following a sing-off with Rylan Clark.

Union J chose to perform US singer Pink's Perfect and defeated Jade Ellis, who performed Dido's White Flag.
