Wride celebrates successive victories – this time at Kingston Seymour
THE talented Dave Wride followed last week's first round win in the Bathampton AA Silvers League at Hunstrete with a 47-0-0 victory in Acorn Carp Fishery's Tuesday Tenner match fished at Kingston Seymour.
The Sensas Thyers rod poled a soft pellet all both long and short off point peg five and beat a top -class, ten-man turnout with a 47lb catch of carp weighing in the 1-6lb bracket.

The runner-up and top of the silverfish category was England star Des Shipp, who used maggot to tempt 25-8-0 of carp and a winning 9-8-0 of skimmers and perch from island peg 3.

Roger Warlock converted his only bite of a five-hour long match and ran in a 1-15-0 winner in the Kingswood and Hanham RBL AC match fished on a frost-bitten Bristol Avon at Keynsham.
He cast a groundbait feeder and pinkie hookbait close in at peg 16 in the lower Ashtip field and waited four-and-a-half hours for his winning skimmer to take the bait.
The runner-up was John Thompson, who trotted a 'Topper' crow quill float and a single maggot hook bait at one rod length off peg six on the cattle grid to tempt 10oz of bits.
Result. 1, Roger Warlock 1-15-0, peg 16; 2, John Thompson 10oz, peg 6; 3, Les Williams 8.5ozs, peg 9; 4, Bill Croom 5oz, peg 3.
Despite bitter cold winds and a partially frozen lake, a dozen of the South West's top match anglers turned up to fish the Avon Angling Midweek Open at Shiplate Farm, near Weston-super-Mare.
And leading the pack from his first put-in was Andy Hembrow, who hit double tops at Match 14 with the capture of four carp totalling 24-12-0 plus 15-2-0 of bream and bits.
Bristol's Tony Rixon, pictured, came second at peg one, where dead maggot and caster tempted 25-1-0 of mostly carp and chub.

Lechlade and Bushyleaze Trout Lakes at Lechlade is fishing well despite the horrendous change in the weather. Since the Christmas holidays, 403 anglers fishing Lechlade Trout Lake have caught 1139 trout at a superb average weight of 12lb.
