“I am currently gathering statistics on womens football to compare the treatment against mens football. When I feel I have enough information I will be presenting my case to a lawyer against the FA on grounds of sex discrimination. I am the Marketing manager for Rotherham United Ladies FC, a club established since 1969 and at the moment, is being funded by the club chair person Valerie Hoyle from her own pocket. When I asked the Sheffield & Hallamshire FA if this was the modern day era for womens soccer, for which the FA quoted '' Womens football has come along way since 1993 and the new Super league is the way forward for womens soccer''. How on earth is this a way forward? It's just creating mor eheart ache for women players by getting up their hopes that there may be hope in the future of womens soccer when in fact really, the FA should be concentrating on ploughing money into the leagues they already have. Instead of John Terry pocketing £6.5m each year himself, how about making equal pay for men and women. It's estimated that David Beckham earns £110,667 EACH DAY. It's quite unbelievable that womens soccer were more popular in 1920 with crowds in excess of 35,000 people attending to watch women play only to see the state of womens soccer in a supposedly modern era today. Compare the facts such as fouls commited by men in a match/season for example .. each team were in excess of 250 fouls commited in the 06/07 season, research into the same example for womens soccer returns 1 result being 0 fouls commited. Lets look at the performance of the teams.. The mens world cup was established in 1930 yet England won it once. Womens world cup was established in 1991 but yet to win. comparing the difference in years, women have performed better but still, this is not taken into consideration when mens wages are being paid. If anyone has any facts on this, please feel free to let me know on carolinestokes190@gmail.com”
