Woman suffers serious injuries in Transit van hit and run
A WOMAN is in hospital with serious injuries after a late night hit and run accident in Clevedon.
The woman was crossing the road from Northern Walk towards Brookfield Walk at around 11.40pm on August 31 when she collided with a transit type vehicle.

The woman was treated for serious injuries at the scene and remains in hospital where she is being treated for arm and spinal injuries.
The impact caused the nearside wing mirror of a Ford Transit, believe to be either silver or white, to be left at the scene.

A police spokesman said: “We are appealing for anyone who saw a vehicle fitting this description heading away from Northern Way towards the motorway roundabout, to get in touch.
“The direction of travel after this roundabout was not known.
“We are also appealing for anyone who may have noticed any recent damage to a transit, missing a nearside front wing mirror, or any garages which have had vehicles fitting this description, requesting parts.”
