Woman's bike stolen from St John's Lane, Bedminster

Emily Arnold's stolen Carlton-Courette bike
The 28-year-old puzzle compiler had locked one of the bike's wheels to the frame, but an opportunist criminal still ran off with it between 5.20pm and 5.25pm.
Emily said: "I've had my lovely bike for about five years and I ride it to and from work every day. It is at least 20 years old and is quite rare so it can't be replaced.

The bike is a vintage Carlton-Courette with a mixte frame, a Brooks saddle and has a Kwiklock basket attachment on it. The back mudguard has a hole in it where the reflector previously broke off.
Anyone who knows where it is, or who witnessed the crime, should call the police on 101 or Emily on 07773141087.

“More importantly, what did the estate agent say?! If she's currently living on St John's lane the agent was a jedi.

“I have an old Mixte that was thrown out. It's a delight to ride so I hope she gets her bike back, it's not something that most people would want to buy even if the thief offers it at a good price.”

“Anyone who has ever been to Bedminster will know what a horrible little place it is. I would almost expect to have my bicycle stolen were I to leave it (locked to nothing other than itself).”
