A woman was robbed in Burnham-on-Sea as she walked in the street late at night.

Police yesterday appealed for witnesses to the mugging in Rectory Road to come forward.

The victim was walking along the road when she was approached from behind and a digital camera and iPod were taken. Police have described the suspect as 5ft 7in tall, wearing a black hooded top, black tracksuit and black trainers with white markings on the heel.

They are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident, which happened at about 10.50pm on August 23 in Rectory Road.
