Struggling Winterbourne United crashed to a 5-0 defeat against Purton in Division One West of the Hellenic League.

Second-in-the-table Purton, who beat Winterbourne in the Hellenic Cup last week, led 3-0 at half-time and added two second-half goals.

Meanwhile, Tytherington Rocks moved up to sixth spot with a 3-1 home victory over struggling Clanfield.

Danny Thorpe and James Hicks struck early on before James Wilmot made it 3-0 after a Thorpe penalty had been saved.
