Head to Old Wardour Castle this weekend for a fantastic flying display
W ith a dry weekend forecast, flying conditions could hardly be better for the majestic sport of medieval falconry soaring into Old Wardour Castle in Wiltshire. Visitors will get the chance to find out more about the noble sport of falconry, and discover how these remarkable birds of prey were used for hunting in the Middle Ages.

The breathtaking strength and agility of these aerial hunters should enthral the whole family as they enjoy captivating displays of owls, hawks and falcons in flight.
There's even the chance to step into the spotlight yourself as the falconers will be inviting one child per display into the arena to help them.
Flights will take place three times a day today and tomorrow, at noon, 1.30pm and 3.15pm, and will be led by Raphael Falconry, one of the UK's best known and most experienced teams of historical falconers.
Old Wardour Castle is open today and tomorrow from 11am to 5pm. Adults, £5.30; concession, £4.10; children, £2.80.
