Win free train tickets to watch Bristol Rovers at Norwich
Hundreds of Bristol Rovers supporters will be letting the train take the strain out of their trip to Norwich City next weekend.
The Pirates' Supporters Club have organised a Football Special to transport fans to Carrow Road for Saturday's League One clash with the Canaries.
It consists of nine first class carriages and also offers a buffet service, although no alcohol is allowed.
Tickets are priced at £45 for Supporters Club members and £48 for non-members and they are available from Pirate Leisure (Bristol 909 6648) or the Supporters Club shop in Kingswood (Bristol 961 1772).
But two lucky fans can travel for FREE by winning tickets in a special Evening Post competition. The winners will be able to pick up their tickets from the Supporters Club shop on Two Mile Hill.
Departure times have now been confirmed. The train will leave Weston-super-Mare at 7am, Bristol Temple Meads at 8.09am, Stapleton Road at 8.17am and Bristol Parkway at 8.28am, arriving in Norwich at 1.12pm.
The return trip leaves Norwich at 5.38pm and arrives at Bristol Parkway at 10.04pm, Stapleton Road at 10.18pm and Bristol Temple Meads at 10.28pm.
Because of engineering work, it will not be possible for the train to return to Weston-super-Mare, although the Supporters Club are organising alternative transport to Weston from Bristol.
Organiser Clive Farquhar said: "We have already sold more than 200 seats and we expect to sell a lot more now that the timetable has been published.
"It is the first time for many years that we have undertaken such a venture and we hope that it is a success. If it is, we will explore the possibility of running further trains to suitable fixtures later in the season – so we hope our members will support it."
