Team Bath 1 AFC Wimbledon 2: Two first-half goals were enough for AFC Wimbledon to seal victory in the first meeting between Team Bath and the Dons.

Sam Hatton's quick thinking gave AFC Wimbledon the opener on 14 minutes. He drilled a low effort into an empty net from 40 yards after keeper Darren Chitty had raced out of his goal and hoofed the ball clear from the dangerous Danny Kedwell.

Marc Canham could have levelled the scores on 25 minutes, following a defensive mix up, but saw his effort from an acute angle rebound off a post.

The Dons should have been 2-0 up five minutes later, but Anthony Finn missed an open goal after a lapse between Chitty and Greg Lake.

Kedwell put the visitors two up just before half-time with a stunning turn and volley that gave Chitty no chance.

Takumi Ake's effort just before the hour mark was comfortably held by Andy Little in the AFC Wimbledon goal.

Shaun Benison grabbed a consolation for Team Bath with a terrific strike from the edge of the area eight minutes from time, but the University of Bath side couldn't get the extra goal that would have grabbed a point.
