Academy pace bowler Mitch Wilson took 3-6 off four overs as Gloucestershire's game with Bradford/Leeds UCCE remained evenly balanced after two days play at Weetwood.

Gloucestershire could only muster 203 in reply to 278 by the students, but Wilson led a good fightback with the ball as the hosts closed on 122-7 in their second innings.

Poole-born Wilson, who celebrated his 17th birthday three days ago, had Duncan Snell caught behind, bowled James Moorhouse and had James Hawley caught by Vikram Banerjee.

Anthony Ireland returned 2-29 from 13 overs, while there was also a wicket apiece for Gemaal Hussain and Banerjee.

Earlier, Tom Stayt, who batted at number eight, had top-scored for Gloucestershire with 38.

David Brown (34), Steve Snell (31), Kadeer Ali (28) and Grant Hodnett (26) were the other main contributors.
