Wiggle and giggle at a family day
Bristol's Family Information Service (FIS) is holding its second annual fun day for the under-fives later this month.
The event will take place on Wednesday, June 17 at Canford Park, Westbury-on-Trym, between 10am and 2.30pm.
Attended by 300 families last year, the event is designed to raise awareness of the services on offer through FIS.
Road safety, library, police, fire and ambulance representatives will be on hand to offer help and advice.
Children will be able to take part in face-painting, crafts, balloon modelling, badge making and taster sessions from groups such as explore learning, sing and sign and wiggles and gigggles.
The first 100 families to attend will receive a free goodie bag containing magazines, money-off vouchers and other free samples.
Bristol City Council director for children young people and skills Annie Hudson said: "Every parent or carer should know about our Family Information Service.
"It provides free impartial and practical advice on the issues that face every family, from choosing childcare or schooling to leisure activities and family support.
"I wish the fun day every success and hope that the sun shines all day on June 17."
