Whooping cough vaccine call for pregnant women
PREGNANT women are being urged to get vaccinated against whooping cough after 2012 saw a ten-fold increase in cases in the Bristol area. The latest figures show that there were 325 cases in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire last year, compared to 33 in 2008. Parents are also being advised to get their children vaccinated as the south west has been particularly badly affected.
