Whitchurch British Legion were surprise winners in the Bristol & District Billiard League this week.

Their 3-0 win over Rileys Club A was the first defeat of the season for the Rileys team.

John Dalton, of Whitchurch, playing off a handicap of +130, had a 29-point win (250-221) over Riley's Frank Squires (+125) and Legion team-mate Martin Elliott (+105) beat Mahmould Alzaid (-45) by just one point (250-249), the first defeat of the season for Mahmould.
