Fire at Weston-super-Mare law firm
FIREFIGHTERS had to break their way into a Weston-super-Mare solicitors' office after a fire broke out on the top floor of their town centre offices.
Crews from Weston-super-Mare and Kingswood were called to Gordon and Penney solicitors at The Boulevard at 11.25pm yesterday following reports that smoke was billowing from the top floor of the three storey building.
After forcing the front door to get into the building, crews wearing breathing apparatus used high pressure hose reels to extinguish the blaze.
The building was empty at the time of the blaze and it is understood the fire was caused by an electrical fault.

Police closed off a section of The Boulevard while crews tackled the blaze, which was contained in one room.
The building was heavily smoke logged and had to be ventilated as a result of the blaze and firefighters were on scene for about an hour.
