Weston put down a marker
West of England Premier League: Weston underlined their Premier One title credentials by beating reigning champions Bath by three wickets.
Robin Lett cracked 130 as Bath made 213-9, but the Seasiders' overseas player, Robin D'Souza, replied with 75 in Weston's 214-7.
Leaders Taunton St Andrews cruised to a 10-wicket win against Glastonbury.
Wes Durston's 10 was the highest score in Glastonbury's poor 54 as Lloyd Alley took 6-6.
Taunton openers Brian Hoyle and John Francis claimed the required runs in 11.1 overs.
Bridgwater brought Frocester's 100 per cent record to an end when they claimed a winning draw. Bridgwater hit 267-6 and Frocester were 180-7 at the end.
Newcomers Bristol are off the mark after beating Corsham by nine runs.
Pat Fallis hit 58 in Bristol's 156, Jason Searle claiming 5-38, but the Failand side's bowlers Will Rudge (3-49), Mike Willmott (3-32) and Gloucestershire all-rounder David Brown (3-33) skittled Corsham for 147.
In the Bristol derby, Knowle secured a winning draw against Downend.
Knowle scored 340-9 thanks to their middle order of Gloucestershire wicketkeeper Steve Adshead (97 off 68 balls, including 17 fours and a six), Richie Ricketts (77 of 91 balls, including 9 fours) and Adam Tayler (67 off 43 balls, including 12 fours).
Downend hung on to avoid defeat with last batsmen Ben Pearce and Craig Ford hitting 32 not out and 18 not out respectively. Courtney Ricketts took 4-56.
Thornbury's 100 per cent start has come to an end after the South Gloucestershire side lost by two wickets at Taunton Deane in Premier Two.
Richard Trotman and Ian Blakemore hit 87 and 45 respectively in Thornbury's 198 before Phil Lewis (49) and Grant Thompson (52 not out) secured the narrow win for Deane.
Bristol West Indians have lost for the third match in a row after being beaten by 36 runs against Warminster.
Half centuries from Mark Coxon Tenty (60) and Christian Hanna (67) guided Warminster to 257. Prackash Joshi took 5-64.
But the Windies batsmen were unable to stay at the crease long enough to claim the win. Hanna claimed 5-60 with James Pearson (46), Ashur Morrison (45) and Dazell Young (53) the leading batsmen.
Ex-Somerset all-rounder Matthew Bulbeck hit 66 and took 5-54 in Taunton's four-wicket win against Cheltenham.
Gloucestershire batsman Grant Hodnett hit 81 and was well supported by Phil Arnold (46) in Cheltenham's 215. Craig Williams scored 42 in Taunton's 217-6.
Opener Nick Pocock (53) and No 3 batsman Tim Rowson (41 not out) starred as Chippenham thrashed Ilminster by eight wickets.
Rayner Blitz made 59 in Ilminster's 136, Clifton Folkes (3-29) being the pick of seven different bowlers.
Keynsham restricted Trowbridge to 74, Richard Pannell taking 4-15, before securing the win for the loss of only two wickets.
Antony Cains (22 not out) and Ben Whittington (16 not out) saw them home.
