THE developer behind Knightstone Island's transformation have won an award for the scheme.
Redrow Homes, which completed the Knightstone project, was awarded the title at the International Property Awards in the US.

The house builder beat competition from projects in South Africa and Italy to take the top honour in the world's largest property competition.
It was recognised for its restoration work on three grade II-listed buildings on the island – the Pavilion Theatre, Dr Fox's Bath House and the historic swimming baths.
In return for restoring the buildings, the firm created a range of 87 one, two and three-bedroom apartments and two commercial units, likely to become a cafe and restaurant.
Peter Carpinelli, managing director for Redrow Homes (South West), said: "It's fantastic to be named the best redevelopment project in the world and once again receive recognition of the highest order for Knightstone Island from international property industry experts.
"We worked extremely hard to maintain and balance between modern living while retaining many of the historical features of the Victorian buildings, and to breathe new life into this popular landmark.
"The apartments have now sold out, which is further testament to its popularity."
Redrow was entered the global competition after receiving the 'five star' award in the category of 'Best Redevelopment' at the Daily Mail UK Property awards.
Earlier this year it was also highly commended at the Daily Telegraph Your New Homes awards in the category for best waterfront development.
As yet the two commercial units, which have planning permission for restaurant, bistro, café or retail, have not yet been taken on by anyone.
