Weston children enjoy Barnardo's project
Children in Weston-super-Mare are enjoying a fun-filled autumn thanks to the success of a new project.
The Five-13 Family Support Service is managed by Barnardo's South West and based at the For All Healthy Living Centre in Lonsdale Avenue.
It provides a range of services including support and advice to parents, and low-cost activities for children, living in south and central Weston.
Activities include climbing and trampolining, street dance, arts and crafts and coach trips to various attractions.
The aim is to encourage a stronger community spirit among children and their families.
Barnardo's children's services manager Anthony Hill is leading the project with the support of Sue Sharps, Kadia Kante, Elaine Dedicoat and Judi Upson.
Anthony said: "The service provides a range of activities in both the school holidays and during the school term.
"It's a great way to encourage the whole family to come together and bond, especially for those without transport who would otherwise miss out on access to many events."
