Weston-super-Mare manager Andy Gurney looks set to be without two of his most influential players – Ashan Holgate and Marc McKeever – for at least a month.

Holgate's ankle injury has been diagnosed as ruptured ligaments and is expected to keep him sidelined for three to five weeks.

McKeever also has an ankle injury and is awating the results of a scan amid fears that he also has ligament damage.

The Seagulls, who are eight points clear of the relegation zone, travel to Hayes & Yeading on Saturday.

"It will be a difficult game, but if we give decent professional performance, we can come back with at least a point, said Gurney. "Unfortunately, with the injuries, and a couple of players out on loan, we are down to the bare bones."

The wintry weather is threatening to play havoc with both Bath teams just as they bid to close in on the play-offs.

No side in Blue Square South has played fewer games than Bath City or Team Bath, who are two and four points outside the top five respectively. And the fact that they share Twerton Park means a fixture pile-up is beginning to look ominous.

City, who would have climbed into the play-off places for the first time this season if they had beaten Thurrock at home on Tuesday, only for the snow to intervene, are optimistic their game at Fisher Athletic will go ahead on Saturday.

Manager Adie Britton said: "We are absolutely desperate to play. It is so important because with our small squad we cannot afford to be playing Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday."

Right-back Gethin Jones, who has a groin strain, is doubtful.

Team Bath face Welling United at Twerton Park.
