Weston-Super-Mare recorded their first win at Twerton Park with a 2-1 win over Team Bath in Blue Square South.

Weston, who had skipper Charlie Comyn-Platt back after suspension, had a goal from Manny Williams ruled out for offside early on.

Team Bath keeper Jake Meredith pulled off a superb save on 31 minutes, when he flung himself to his right to deny Marc McGregor's downward header,

Weston took a 43rd-minute lead when Marvin Brown netted from a cross by Williams. But Team Bath levelled on 49 minutes when Marc Canham. beat Ryan Northmore with a 25-yard drive.

Weston regained the lead on 55minutes. McGregor rounded Meredith to finish a good move down the left involving Tom Parrinello and Scott Bartlett.

Bath piled on the pressure. Their best chance fell to Mike Perrett, who beat Northmore to a cross but Comyn-Platt cleared off the line.

● Josh Brigham smashed home a 73rd-minute penalty to earn Clevedon, battling against relegation, a 2-2 home draw with Brackley Town.

A foul on Jemal Easter was deemed just inside the box by a linesman and Brigham gave goalkeeper Joe Day no chance with a thunderous shot just beneath the crossbar.

Clevedon started brightly and took a sixth minute lead when a good move involving Easter and Tom Billing ended with Kyle Bassett converting a low cross at the far post.

But the home side surrendered the initiative as the first half wore on and Brackley substitute Tom Winters made them pay by shooting a 40th equaliser from just outside the penalty area.

It looked as though the visitors would take the points when another substitute, Ben Mackey put them ahead from close range midway through the second half. But Brigham's spot-kick made it three games unbeaten for Clevedon.

● Mangotsfield United lost ground in their bid to avoid relegation as they went down 3-0 to a Hemel Hempstead side who are still involved in the promotion battle.

They were without defender Neil Arndale, who was unavailable, but recent signing Dane O'Connor was again in the starting line-up.

Hemel Hempstead started strongly to put the Mangotsfield defence under pressure and they struck to take a 20th-minute lead through Lewis Hilliard.

They added a second, nine minutes later, through Tony Thomas, but Mangotsfield went close to pulling a goal back through O'Connor, whose shot went just wide.

With skipper Ellis Wilmot showing up well in midfield during the second half, Mangotsfield came more into the game without creating any clear-cut chances.

Hemel Hempstead added a third goal midway through the second half to clinch a deserved victory through Hilliard, to complete his double.

Mangotsfield, particularly in the second half, gave a much better performance but still failed to create any chances in front of goal.
