A NEW household waste recycling centre is set to be built in Hartcliffe.

The council's ruling cabinet approved plans to build the centre at its meeting last night to help Bristol increase its recycling rate.

It will be able to deal with 30 different types of waste.

The site is owned by the city council and leased to May Gurney.
