Ward and Holloway are out of Swindon Town managerial race
Former bookmakers' favourites John Ward and Ian Holloway are both out of the running to become Swindon Town's new manager.
The Daily Press understands that both out-of-work managers were interviewed for the position, but have been told their bids to succeed Maurice Malpas have been unsuccessful.

Town chairman Andrew Fitton is understood to have narrowed his search for a new man down to a final four and neither Ward nor Holloway, who both had spells in charge at Bristol Rovers, are part of that quartet.
That shortlist is expected to become three before interviews take place at a secret location tomorrow, with one potential candidate expected to be refused permission to speak to Fitton by his current club.
Former Walsall manager Richard Money is the new favourite with bookmakers Victor Chandler after speculation linking him with the post over the weekend. He is believed to be one of the mystery candidates set for interview tomorrow. Meanwhile, the chances of former favourite and under-pressure Nottingham Forest manager Colin Calderwood appear to be fading.
Fitton is unwilling to make an approach for Calderwood due to the precarious nature of his current position at the City Ground.
The Swindon Town chief has indicated an interest in speaking to the former County Ground skipper should he be relieved of his duties at Forest. But Calderwood appears to have earned a stay of execution at his current club and time could play a factor, as Fitton is keen to have a new man in place ahead of the transfer window.
