Wanted: The Bristol woman hunted over hit-and-run
This is the woman police are hunting over the death of 11-year-old Sam Riddall in Bristol.
Detectives have taken the step of naming and picturing the owner of the car which killed the Bristol boy in Westbury-on-Trym.
-

Wanted: Hannah Saaf is the Bristol woman hunted over hit-and-run
She is called Hannah Saaf.
Ms Saaf is described as 5'9", aged 27. Police said she also used the name Hannah Jewell. Police said her last known address was in Kingsdown.

All UK airports have been notified.
Ms Saaf's white Ford Focus estate car was being driven Eastfield Road in Westbury-on-Trym when it mounted the pavement and drove into a group of four people.
The female driver fled the scene on foot and has still not been found.
Sam was struck and suffered multiple injuries and died in Bristol Children's Hospital hours later.
Local dad Dr Peter Harbord suffered leg injuries in the collision, and three other children escaped unharmed.
Sam was walking with Joel, 12, two other friends and Dr Harbord after an evening of football and games at the Albert Place church youth group at Henleaze and Westbury Community Church when he was run over at 9.15pm on Friday.
A large number of floral tributes to Sam have been left in Eastfield Road.
A teddy bear, a football and artwork depicting an angel had been left at the scene of the crash, along with a class photo of Bishop Road's Year 6 of 2007-8.

From the 30m long skid marks left by the car it appears when the vehicle hit the wall to Mr Harbord's right it came back out towards the road, effectively travelling round him.
Having escaped any broken bones, but still felling pain in his legs, Dr Harbord was back in work yesterday.
But he says he has not been able to get out of his head the tragic events of last Friday night.
Local residents said the car driver ran down the road opposite Cote Lea Park and towards an alleyway leading from Pinewood Close into a housing estate.
Police searched the area and dog handlers were brought in to follow her trail, but the woman had not been caught last night.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Avon and Somerset police on 0845 456 7000 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
Dr Harbord has told the Bristol Evening Post he was consumed with the "shock, tears and numbness" of the tragedy.
And he also revealed that Sam and two friends – including Dr Harbord's son Joel – had a near-miss with another car on Friday morning as they walked to school.

“I think Brian and Stephen just like to argue. Somebody was driving that car, therefore the priority is to find that person. As the police have released Hannah's details because they would like to question her about it, would indicate to me that they have a good reason for it.
I am in agreement with Tina, as I am "aware" that Hannah has previous. Why would the police go to the trouble of finding her passport for the photo, when they could simply use the "mug shot" they already had?”

“My thoughts go out to the family. Terrible.
The third hit and run in 6months.
Cars are murder weapons, and it is no surprise there are so many accidents when people drive like maniacs in bristol and the uk.
In the rest of europe: cars give way to pedestrians.
Rest in peace Sam. Rest in Peace Troy.
BAN 4X4s from town centres.”

“My 1st thought's are with the young boy's family, They are going through hell with the why's & what if's, I lost a son I know I did the same my heart felt sympythies 2 sam's family... But this lady wether driver or not SHOULD have the decency 2 come forward 2 explain what happened, they do say that the brain will shut down when fear sets in & the fear takes over rational thinking but this would of now recovered, if it was her mate or partner OWN up if it was HER DO YOUR SELF A FAVOUR contact the police, if as the way people are feeling at the moment, some could take the law in to their own hands... YOU OWE Sams family the right to see justice wether it was you or some one you know that drove that car that night... If you had sold the car then CONTACT police to explain...”

“Coe on use those noggings.
BEP with its "hunted" and Wanted" splashed all over the place.
She is the register user, they therefore have a photo. If she is married, maybe her two names are maiden and married names. Where is her husband???, where is she??. Maybe just maybe she has had her car nicked whilst she is away on holiday the south of france and is completly unaware of what is going on.
Maybe, Maybe not, i could be wrong but the witch hunt driven by appauling BEP headline grabbing is just typical as are some of the reactions.
RIP young man, cant even get close to thinking how your family are feeling right now”

“Scenario: Woman on her own gets into car is followed, tries to get away. Goes too fast, loses control. Still in flight mode, runs away and hides.
Possible?”

“Thank you Pete for your well thought out comments.
I can only pray that the girl is ok and not lying dead somewhere because that would be a tragic conclusion to what is already a tragic event.
No one deserves to have a tial by web comment which is what this is turning into.
If and If she was driving and is in hiding then she will appear in duee course. If she is injured or dead then this will happen as well.
However, she may not be the driver, we do not know, so I suggest we shut up and let the Police do their job”

“My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
But, my thoughts also go out to the driver, yes I am aware that my comments will get blasted by the majority posting on here but please take into consideration the lady involved in the accident.
She May or may not have been driving that car, but she is still a human being who is probably scared and upset. This person may have ran off as she was so upset that the only thought in her head was to run.
I for one am praying that she is ok and has not hurt herself in anyway. She is probably very scared at the moment and that's may be the reason that she has gone into hiding....reading some of your comments, well I don't blame her.
Innocent until proven guilty.
As the BBC News has said there are concerns for her welfare, thank you Stephen , Bristol for putting stating a proper news story.”

“She/they are probably all in hiding from the people who want to burn her and carry out mob justice.”
