Wallet robbery in afternoon

A MAN was robbed of his wallet as he walked through Long Ashton.

The incident happened at around 4.50pm on Tuesday, September 4, when a man in his early 50s was walking up Keedwell Hill.

As he walked along, he was pushed up against a parked vehicle by a person who had run up behind him.

A second person then grabbed a chain on his belt which was attached to his wallet in his pocket, and removed it.

The victim tried to grab his wallet and was punched in the arm by the second offender.

Both offenders, described as around 6ft tall, then ran off towards the community hall and into the play park.
