The weight of just one decent-sized River Avon bream separated the top two places in the Ridgeway & District AC match, fished at Swineford.

Victory went to Bob Walker, who fished feeder and maggot to the far side off peg six and weighed in 9-0-0 of skimmers and bream.

Brian Paull used identical tactics at peg one on the outfall and finished a close second with a similar 8-1-0. The third best weight came from peg 18 and fell to match organiser Steve Dumbleton, who float-fished maggot over a hemp and caster feed to tempt a 7-9-0 mix of chub, roach and perch.
