Bristol City have tabled a 12-month deal, but Adebola, 34, is holding out for an extra year.

Coca-Cola Championship rivals QPR, Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest are believed to be leading the race to prise him away from Ashton Gate.

Reports in London last week, however, have suggested that QPR are close to ending their interest.
