PUPILS at a Withywood school are learning about African life from a group of Ugandan visitors.

The children at Fair Furlong Primary School were taught traditional dances and songs by two teachers from Masindi in Uganda as part of a visit to the school.

Head teacher Emma Drew said: "Teacher Evelyne and Teacher George are visiting Fair Furlong Primary School for just over a week. They are from our partner school, Masindi Port Parents Primary School, with which we've been linked for the last three years."

She added: "The children have been really excited at the prospect of this visit, it is a wonderful opportunity for us to work practically together and learn from each other. Evelyne and George have been very impressed with our school and received a great welcome."
