Video: Hundreds turn out to celebrate Armed Forces Day in Kingswood
Hundreds of people turned out in Kingswood on Saturday as armed forces veterans, marching bands and military vehicles paraded through the town as part of Armed Forces day.
Taking the salute was Rear Admiral Steve Brunton. He joined council dignitaries, including the Chair of South Gloucestershire Council Cllr Janet Biggin, for a service of thanks and remembrance in Kingswood park after the parade and inspected the troops.
Cllr Biggin said: "Armed Forces Day is a very special day when we celebrate the contribution made to our country by those who serve and have served in Her Majesty's Armed Forces.
"It is also an opportunity to show our support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community, from currently serving troops to Service families and from veterans to cadets."
