Vandals have repeatedly targeted notice boards belonging to a youth group in the village in the past few months.

Ian Sheppard, of the Congresbury Youth Partnership, said: "The notice boards are used by us to keep the community informed about various events that take place in the village.

"We do not understand why they are being targeted, the cost of repairing the notice board will mean that we have less money to spend on providing activities for young people in the area."

"We are grateful to the police for their efforts and hope they are able to find the person responsible for the vandalism."

Beat manager PC Kim Tacchi said: "The most recent damage was to the notice board at the Riverside car park and was caused sometime between Thursday, May 21 and Monday, May 25.

"This is causing upset to the members of the partnership, so I would ask anyone with information to call us on 0845 456 7000."
