Vailes and Kemp give Clevedon added impetus
CLEVEDON have received a pre-season boost with the news that Ashley Vailes and Bradley Kemp are returning to the South West One West club.
Vailes, equally outstanding at scrum-half as he is at centre, has moved back to North Somerset after two seasons away. And hooker Kemp has returned after a spell with Broad Plain.

Former Dings Crusader Ashley Vailes has signed for Clevedon
Four members of Clevedon's colts squad – a traditional conveyor belt of talent – have also registered for the new campaign, including captain Toby Ford who will be pressing for a place in the back row.
No 8 Ashley Davis, full-back Michael Winter and hooker Jack Williams will also be a part of next season's senior squad under Nick Hill, who has been confirmed as Clevedon's director of rugby, succeeding Jeff Durant, who held the post for five seasons.

Adult mixed touch rugby competitions will be staged at South Gloucestershire and Stroud College's WISE Campus at Filton on Saturday, July 7.
This non-contact event, part of South Gloucestershire's cultural festival 'Engage', is billed as a chance for clubs to challenge for their first silverware of the new season and to improve fitness in a fun environment. There are two events, one for clubs and the other for business/social teams. Both are six-a-side, drawn from squads of ten, two of whom must be of the opposite gender. Rolling subs are allowed. It costs £10 to enter a team, and the action is due to start at noon and finish at around 3pm.

Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal was the special guest of honour at the Gloucestershire RFU's recent awards evening at Hartpury.
Six stalwart volunteers were recognised for their outstanding service to rugby in the county, including Rick Sellars, the popular Bristol Grammar coach who has also worked with Bristol's forwards and Clifton juniors. Annie Parker, Thornbury's junior secretary, who has been involved with women's and girls' rugby since since 1996, was also honoured.
And there was also recognition for Roger Cox who has given the best part of 40 years' service to rugby at Bristol Grammar School, while also being an active member of the Bristol Schools' RFU.
Jonny Jenkins has been voted in as the new captain of Bishopston, who last season were relegated straight back to Gloucester One. And Tony Searle has taken over as club chairman. Matt Richards continues as head coach with departing first-team captain Mike Monaghan assisting with the forwards.
