Hundreds of Volkswagens will descend on the seaside resort of Weston-super-Mare this weekend as the Cruise to the Prom event comes to town.

More than 600 VW cars and campers will cruise from Brean Leisure Park down to the Beach Lawns in Weston on Sunday April 19.

The event is the third annual classic VW event to take place in the resort, which will raise funds for the RNLI and Macmillan Cancer Support.

Cars will follow a route from the rear gate of Brean Leisure Park onto Red Road, Barton Road, Berrow Road, Manor Road, Love Lane on to the A38 and A370 into Weston.

There are five trophies up for grabs this year awarded to the most popular five cars.

Voting forms will be in the event programme and the deadline for voting is 2pm, to allow time for counting before announcing the results.

Results will be given at 3pm by the club stand.
