Use of taxpayers' money is 'sickening'
There are very few words to describe the expenses scam by MPs that has finally been exposed.
Recently I was in Haverford West, and spoke to some soldIers who were out collecting for a servicemen's charity; I don't think it's bad that our service personnel have to go out with charity boxes to supplement the budget – I just wonder why they have to?
Prior to this almost two weeks to the day I had seen veterans from the World War II in Bristol doing the same because the Government didn't want to give sufficient money for old servicemen to re-visit Normandy. I cannot think of anything more abhorrent than young men "spilling their guts" on French beaches only to find that as aging survivors they are reduced to "begging" the government in their old age to assist in funding, in order that they may return to commemorate their fallen comrades.
But politics being what is; back in March of this year our Government pledged £30 million to help rebuild Gaza... I'd like to see that £30 million spent in the UK, not the un-Holy Land.
How our tax payers money can be thrown about without any care for the British people is literally astounding. And utterly sickening. If this is what is perceived as a well-run parliamentary democracy, scrupulously and diligently utilising tax payers cash, then I feel ashamed – which is something none of our elected officials will be familiar with.
The Speaker, and those MP's who opposed the Freedom of Information Act on parliament should be dragged from Westminster and publicly stoned (by that I mean have rocks thrown at them, not spaced out in the Commons bar with a spliff).
Let us not forget our MEP's and our contributions that the European Union receives.
I only hope that when the dust settles on our own scavengers the media will turn it's attention to the EU and some of the disgraceful shams that the Court of Auditors have looked at.

“I am sickened by the way our servicemen and women are treated especially when compared to MPs. Our servicemen and women don't even get the proper protective equipment. MPs with their noses in the trough have totally lost touch and do not consider we have a right to know what they do with our money. Magna Carta is out of date. We need a proper constitution fit for the 21st century.”
