Unlucky Corr has support of Swindon Town team-mates, says Timlin
Swindon Town striker Barry Corr will be reflecting that he is one of the unluckiest footballers in the West Country.
While his team-mates vowed to rally round the striker as he faces another lengthy spell on the sidelines after dislocating his shoulder again during Tuesday's 1-1 draw against Stockport County, Corr must be wondering whether that there is a jinx on him in Wiltshire.

Barry Corr
Since signing for Town in June 2007 the 23-year-old Irishman has started just nine games – one more than his initial loan spell from Sheffield Wednesday at the end of the 2006-7 season.
A broken back was his initial problem and after lengthy treatment he then suffered a minor shoulder injury. Sadly that was a harbinger of worse to follow, as he dislocated the shoulder against Southend last season.
Now it has gone again, following a recent struggle with a calf problem. The injury will leave big question marks against Corr's future, particularly as his contract expires at the end of the season.
"I know he's had injury problems over a period of time and it seems that the jinx has hit him again," said Town boss Danny Wilson.
That it should strike a player who, when he gets fit and makes the team, offers so much is even more galling. Even on Tuesday night, when he was making just his third start of the season, Corr showed some lovely touches and offered glimpses of a potentially successful partnership with Simon Cox.
Whether Town fans, who clearly appreciate the big man's contribution and empathise with his plight, will ever see that partnership realised remains to be seen – but for the moment his team-mates are staying positive and hoping that Corr can recover and stake a claim for a new deal before the end of the season.
"We have to make sure we keep him positive, keep his spirits up and keep him striving to get back to full fitness again," said Town skipper Michael Timlin.
"It is so disappointing for him and devastating for us because he is a player that we will definitely miss.
"Sadly it (a dislocated shoulder) is one of those things that when it happens a couple of times it is more likely to happen again. That is very disappointing for Barry.
"He was devastated in the changing room and we could see how bad he felt. A lot of the boys tried to console him but once that happens he knows it will be a lengthy lay-off."
Injury-jinxed is a description that the personable Corr will find hard to shake off and while, at 23, time is on his side, he needs to find a long-term solution to the shoulder problem.
"A lot of people will say 'Barry has done it again' but you should see him always in the gym working hard on his strength and doing weights," added Timlin.
"I was tagged as injury-jinxed as a youngster when I was out for a year and that is hard. Once you get that tag it is hard to shake of."
The right treatment, careful recuperation and time are what Corr now needs. Whether at the end of that he is still a Swindon Town player remains to be seen.
