Clevedon Town, under newly appointed manager Nick Tucker, and Yate Town go head to head at The Hand Stadium with both clubs desperate for points to pull away from a relegation battle.

Tucker, who has already spent 12 years in management after being forced to give up playing through injury, said: "With two games in three days it will give me the chance to take a look at all the players in the squad and see what options there are."

Yate received an inquiry from Blue Square South side Weston-super-Mare regarding transfer-listed striker Aaron Blakemore, but they dropped their interest when they were told that Yate required a fee for the player who is on a contract.

Clevedon Town (from): Greaves, Heal, Driscoll, Peckham, Brigham, Bassett, Wring, Loxton, Sheppard, Powell, Billing, Harris, Else, Adams, Hughes, Collins.

Yate Town (from): Woodall, Vahid, Brice, Metitiri, Jefferies, Stanley, Metheringham, Beadle, Chenoweth, Wood, Reid, Griffiths, Matthews, Davidge, Mapstone, Smythe, Whittington.

Mangotsfield United, who are also deep in the battle to avoid relegation, are looking for their first league victory since November 8 when they beat Hitchin Town 2-1.

Manager Paul Milsom fears there could be a player exodus after today's home game against Oxford City with most of the contract players expected to be on the move after being asked to take pay cuts.

They are now third from bottom and only two points above the bottom two clubs and face a tough home battle against Oxford City.

Mangotsfield United (from): Clapham, Barwood, Bater, Scott, Hendy, Wilmot, Townley, Morris, Duharty, Page, Groves, Tippins, S Fitzpatrick, J Fitzpatrick.

Gloucester City manager David Mehew expects a close game at home to in-form Swindon Supermarine, who are in second spot, with manager Mark Collier expected to make full use of his squad with two games in three days.

Supermarine had to fight back after finding themselves 3-1 down at half-time in their last game at home to bottom-of-the-table Banbury United before fighting back to take a point from a 4-4 draw.

Gloucester also found themselves hard done by in a 1-1 draw at Oxford City, who equalised with a dubious late penalty.

Gloucester City (from): Sawyer, Richards, Mustoe, Rose, Smith, Webb, Pitcher, Mawford, J Harris, Sykes, ward, hamblin,Thomas, Marshall, Ballinger, A Harris.

Swindon Supermarine (from): Allen, Baldwin, Cook, Draycott, Edebrough, Griffin, harris, henry, Horgan, Hooper, Howell, Lapham, Mackay, O'Hara, Stanley, Taylor, Wood.

Chippenham manager Adie Mings came to the defence of striker David Pratt, who was red carded after just three seconds of their game at Bashley last Saturday following a tackle on Chris Knowles to set a world record for the fastest sending off.

"The trainer was not called onto the field to attend to Knowles who played the whole game so it was not a bad tackle and at most it should have been a yellow card, and most referees would have just given him a lecture as it happened so early in the game," Mings said.

They face Tiverton Town today with only skipper Iain Harvey a doubt.

Chippenham Town (from): Snoddy, Adams, Halliday, Williams, Kite, Harvey, Lye, Holly, Pratt, white, Allison, Slack, gardner, Casey, bryan, Gullick, Seavill.
