Tribute band Badness in tune with Bristol carol bus fundraising
Top tribute band Badness will be performing in Southmead tomorrow night to raise money for the Southmead carol bus.
The six-piece band, formed in 1994, is one of the leading ska-2Tone revival bands in the country, playing Madness, Bad Manners and The Specials classics as well as their own songs. They regularly sell out venues across Britain and have toured Israel, Germany and Spain.
Cliff Howell, 51, who runs Cliff's Florists in Greystoke Avenue, booked Badness to play at the Greenway Centre in Southmead.
There will also be a disco and a raffle to raise funds towards the carol bus, which Cliff drives around Southmead every Christmas to bring the community seasonal cheer.
Some of the event's proceeds will also be donated to the British Heart Foundation.
The Greenway Centre can seat 250 but people who want to see the band are advised to get their tickets early. Tickets cost £10 and are available from Cliff's Florists or from the Greenway Centre reception.
Doors open at 7.30pm, Friday.
