A MAJOR programme of refurbishment is to begin next week at Trenchard Street car park.

Following structural and condition surveys at the busy city centre car park, Bristol City Council will undertake the "major refurbishment", while the car park remains open throughout the next nine months.

The work will begin on Monday, January 21, with the first phase tackling levels one and two.

Access to the car park during the first four weeks will be via the Level Five entrance off Lodge Street. Exit will be via the Level Eight exit on to Park Row.

“The top of the car park on the side over looking the city centre should be converted in to a new Ice Rink and Leisure Zone. This way it's in the right place with plenty of parking and offers amazing views across the city through the new thick glazing.”
