Travellers at Bristol airport can now sup Butcombe real ales
Travellers from across the world can sup real ales at Bristol International Airport.
Three drinks by the Butcombe brewery, including Butcombe Bitter, Cold Filtered Blond and Ashton Press Cider, are now on tap in the airside Bar Zero9, giving people the chance to choose drinks produced just two miles from the airport.
Bristol International's Sense of Place initiative encourages the use of local suppliers to help showcase the best of the South West to international visitors.
The refurbished bar was recently awarded accreditation from the Cask Marque Trust, following visits from an independent assessor to check all cask ales for temperature, appearance, aroma and taste.
Butcombe Brewery managing director Guy Newell said: "Having our beer and cider stocked at the airport is a great opportunity to win new converts, as well as meaning loyal customers can enjoy their favourite pint every time they fly."
SSP UK bar brands manager Jayne Enskat said: "Installing real ale where it is possible, is very much on the agenda in our airport bars across the country.
"Being awarded the Cask Marque award proves that we serve a quality pint of cask ale in our bars and that it's the right thing to do for our customers. We look forward to working with more cask ale suppliers and in receiving more awards for our bars."
